Mellow Yellow Magpie

I think we all had a feeling that the yellow benches at the Tory Burch Spring 2013 runway show were a hint at what was to come. According to the notes, the collection is an "American prep remix" inspired by a "stylish magpie who picks up special pieces while traveling around the world and always mixes them with classic sportswear." I personally loved all the dresses and eclectic mix of jewelry and chic shoes.  I haven't even pulled out my fall clothes yet but this week of shows definitely has me excited for what's to come next year.

Fall Fashions

I've already been shopping for fall but I still have holes left to fill.  I'm always on the hunt for a tie front blouse and the Bryce Bow Blouse in emerald green from Tory Burch definitely looks like a winner.  Of course, I also want the green dress and all those fabulous coats. With the right outfit options, I won't even mind the cooler weather.

Lady of the Manor

Yesterday, a friend mentioned noticing via Google how many posts I've written on Tory Burch.  I only write about people worth writing about especially when they create aesthetically pleasing products and/or interiors.  Both is true of Tory Burch and I love that her homes and stores inspire many with their great use of color and pattern.  Her new Southampton home designed with help from architect and designer Daniel Romualdez and decorator Eve Hood has just been featured in Vogue.  It's so chic that how could I not add another Tory Burch post to the pile. Even though it's in the summer enclave of The Hamptons, Ms Hood says, "nothing says ‘seashore’—she didn’t want a summerhouse but instead one that felt right at Thanksgiving and Christmas, a house that she could come to every weekend.” Judging from the photos, it looks like accomplished that and a whole lot more. See why Tory gets so many posts.
